Stats

Stats: filters, reviewed-only stats, trade number of the day, by day type

Stats follows the account in the switcher, the range at the top and the filters under it. The money stats cover every trade. The grade, strategy, state, tag and mistake cards cover reviewed trades only, because an unreviewed or skipped trade is unknown, never clean. Trade number of the day, after a win or a loss, size and hold time are where overtrading and tilt show up.

What to do

  1. 1

Click Stats. The subtitle says "N trades · net of commissions", or "N trades of M, filtered".

  2. 2

Pick a range: 1W, 1M, 3M, YTD, All, or Custom with From and To dates and Apply.

  3. 3

Click "Filter" for Market, Side, Strategy, Mistakes, Tag, Day type and Grade. "Clear filters" resets them. The filters sit in the page address, so a filtered view can be bookmarked.

  4. 4

Switch between Overview and All stats at the top.

  5. 5

Change the account in the switcher at the bottom of the sidebar to see one account or all.

The filters

FilterOptions
MarketEach symbol root traded, most used first
SideLong, Short
StrategyEach strategy, or "No strategy set"
Mistakes"Any mistake", "Clean (reviewed, no mistakes)", or one mistake
TagEach tag, shown only when some trade has a tag
Day typeEach type, or "No day type"
GradeA to F

Filters narrow every card except "Risk rules", which is always evaluated over every trade in the range, because a rule break depends on the trades around it. Ideas are not a Stats filter; they have their own pages.

Reviewed-only stats

There is no reviewed-only switch. Instead, the cards that need a review only count trades that have one: "Clean trades vs mistake trades", "Mistake cost", "By grade", "By strategy", "By state" and "Top tags". The section says: "Unreviewed and skipped trades are unknown, never counted as clean." With no reviews in the range it says "Review your trades to unlock mistake costs, clean-vs-mistake, and grade breakdowns". To list reviewed or unreviewed trades themselves, use the Review filter on the Trades page.

"Clean trades vs mistake trades" compares win rate, average P&L, average grade and share of trades, and prices the gap: "Trading every mistake trade at your clean average was worth $X in this range." A mistake's cost is what you typed on the review, or the trade's net P&L when you left it empty.

Trade number of the day and the other patterns

  • "Trade number of the day": your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th+ trade of each day, numbered by entry time within the trading day. The hint says: "This is where overtrading shows up."
  • "After a win, after a loss": the first trade of the day, after a win, after a loss, after two or more losses in a row. "This is where tilt shows up."
  • "By size": each size on its own row, or grouped when you trade many sizes. "By hold time": under 1 min up to over 4 hours. "By market", "By month", "Days".
  • When a row has five or more trades, a sentence spells it out, for example "From your 3rd trade of the day on, you lost $640." or "After two losses in a row your next trade averages ... That's the moment to stop for the day."
  • "By day type": Days, Trades, Win rate, Net P&L and Trades per day per type, over all trades of those days. A day split per market counts once under each type.

How the numbers are defined

  • P&L is net of commissions everywhere, and the first Overview card shows both Net P&L and Gross P&L (before fees).
  • A win is net P&L above zero, a loss below zero, a scratch exactly zero. Win rate is wins over wins plus losses; scratches do not count in it and do not break a streak.
  • Expectancy is net P&L over all trades, scratches included. Profit factor is gross profit over gross loss, empty without a loss. Payoff is average win over average loss. Breakeven win rate is average loss over average win plus average loss.
  • Max drawdown is measured trade by trade on the net equity curve of the range.
  • "P&L by hour" buckets by the exit hour on the clock in your timezone; days follow your trading day.
  • R per trade is net P&L over the trade's risk. The "Risk and R" card appears once five or more trades carry a risk.
