Plan and review

The premarket plan and the daily review

Plan & Review is one page with two tabs. Before the open you file a premarket plan: markets, levels, and scenarios A, B and C with a trigger, a plan and an invalidation each. After the close you file the daily review and close the plan out: which scenario played out, and did you trade your plan. The answers feed the execution score and the "Plan vs reality" card on Stats.

What to do

  1. 1

Click Plan & Review in the sidebar. The subtitle is the date; the arrows move a day, "Today" brings you back.

  2. 2

On the Premarket tab, write the Plan and the News & events. Click "Add today's events to News" to pull in the day's high and medium impact US releases.

  3. 3

Click "+ Add market", name it (for example NQ), fill in Important levels and Market structure, and click "+ Scenario A". Give the scenario a one-line title, a Trigger, a Plan and an Invalidation. Add B and C the same way, up to four.

  4. 4

Click "Save plan" or "Save & open daily review". Drafts save on their own meanwhile.

  5. 5

After the close, open the Daily review tab. Under "Which scenario played out?" click the scenario for each market, or "Off plan", and set the switch "I traded my plan".

  6. 6

Fill in Result (Wins, Losses, Net R), Key observations, Lessons and Focus for next session, add skipped trades, and click "Save review".

Scenarios A, B and C

A scenario is one line of what the market might do, with three boxes: Trigger (what has to happen first), Plan (size, entry, target, management) and Invalidation (where the idea is wrong). Scenarios belong to a market, so NQ and ES each get their own set, up to four each, labelled A to D. Once closed out, a scenario card shows "played out" in green or "did not play".

Closing the plan out

The daily review shows "Which scenario played out?" only when the day has a plan with scenarios. One group per market: the scenario buttons plus "Off plan", and a switch "I traded my plan" (or "I traded my NQ plan" per market). A day is off plan only when you chose Off plan for every market; you traded the plan only when every switch is on. Renaming a market in the plan keeps its closeout.

From there: Stats > "Plan vs reality" shows each scenario label's hit rate, off-plan days, and days you traded your plan. The weekly execution score has two plan parts, "Days planned" (trading days with a plan filed) and "Traded the plan" (closed-out days with the switch on). Two or more days with the switch off in a week raise the "broke the plan" insight; two or more unplanned days raise "unplanned days". The group activity feed shows "closed out: traded the plan" or "broke the plan".

The daily review

  • Default sections: Result with Wins, Losses and Net R; Key observations; Lessons; Focus for next session. Markets get their own cards with Behavior, What worked, What didn't and images.
  • "Skipped and missed": setups you saw and did not take. Symbol, Long or Short, time, strategy, the reason, "If taken, R" or points, a note and screenshots. Reasons are either a miss (Hesitation or fear, Missed it, Size or risk, Other), which counts like a mistake, or a good skip (Not in the plan, Rule limit reached, Felt the pull, said no), which never does.
  • Under the form, the day scorecard shows net P&L, average grade, mistakes and trades for the day, with a link to the day's trades.
  • "Export PDF" in the header saves the plan and review of the day as a PDF. "Share to group" posts either one to a group in full.

Changing the template

Click "Template" on either form. Blocks can be switched on and off: Markets, Scenarios, Closeout and Skipped and missed. Sections can be added, reordered and typed: short text, long text, rich text, numbers, yes/no, rating, checklist, single or multiple choice, heading. "Start from" offers starters such as "Levels and bias" and "Quick plan" for the premarket, "Deep dive" and "Quick close" for the daily. Required fields are counted next to Save and never block it. There is no separate settings page for the plan; it is all under Template.

Which day a plan belongs to

One plan and one review per date. Today is your trading day, so on a CME session day the evening belongs to the next date. The economic calendar covers the current week only and shows US events in your timezone.
